This Cape Malay chicken curry recipe makes a richly spiced curry, a true taste of Cape Town, South Africa cuisine. My keto Malay chicken is an incredibly delicious carnivore curry, a simple to make one pot meal that is known for combining sweet and savory flavors using flavourful spices, onions, garlic and ginger. This tasty chicken dinner is perfect for keto low carb diets, is a high protein meal, and a gluten free recipe you can enjoy on a diabetic diet, PCOS diet or GLP diet.
Bobotie is the national dish of South Africa. It is the story of South Africa’s diverse heritage served on a plate. This bobotie has a delicious sweet and savory spiced ground beef base, baked with a golden egg custard topping. My adaptation is a high protein, keto bobotie variation, based on a traditional bobotie recipe which was brought to the Cape Town area by the Cape Malay community around the 17th century. It is a fusion of Southeast Asian spices, and Indonesian, Malaysian and Dutch colonial cooking styles. This almost carnivore version is a perfect main meal often served with golden rice, and can be served to anyone on a weight loss diet, diabetic diet, PCOS, GLP-1, keto diet, high protein diet. Always follow your doctors advise for your personal dietary needs. At the end of the video, I share my photos of Cape Town, with explanations on how we maintained a high protein keto diet while on vacation.
