In place of the cherries you can reduce the carbs by substituting with a layer of fresh strawberries for version 1. Or, you can use fresh cherries as I demonstrate, and for which I provide the macronutrient chart in the video for version 2, so you can decide if you want to make this keto Black Forest Cheesecake recipe with strawberries, or be more authentic and use cherries. Just remember that the cherry filling is delicious but has much higher carbs because cherries are very sweet, and as a result also have a high glycemic index – you choose, based on your metabolic or dietary goals.
