Roasted Asparagus Wrapped in Prosciutto

Servings: 6 (3 spears each)


INGREDIENTS

  • 18 asparagus spears – washed and trimmed
  • 9 strips of prosciutto – cut in half lengthwise

DIRECTIONS

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 220 C (450 F)

  • 2.   Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • 3.   Wrap one half slice of prosciutto around each asparagus spear, starting at the bottom, and spiraling up diagonally, with overlap, to the tip.

  • 4.   Place the wrapped spears on the prepared baking sheet.

  • 5.   Bake for 5 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove, and roll the spears over. Return to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, or until asparagus is tender, and prosciutto is crisp. Serve immediately.
